This week we try to record a follow-up episode to Teen Wolf while our new kitten, Bowie, wreaks unimaginable havoc on our sound quality... sorry audiophiles.  We make sure to clear up the timeline on 1985 being the year of Michael J Fox.  We talk about our high school nicknames and take some time to track down our patron saint.  We also spend a pretty serious tangent on the Nifty Fifty stocks in the 80s and why that is so important in this movie.

Forbidden Cinema 15 - Indecent Proposal

Hold on to your butts, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.  We saw Indecent Proposal, a movie full of actors we love playing characters we don't want to meet.  This is a movie where some of the most talented and sexy people in the early 90s came together to make a film that, dare we say, defined what it meant to be sexy for a time in pop culture.  Join us as we strap in and get into a movie where nothing explodes and nobody stabs anyone.  Our steamy summer of sizzle seems to be losing steam and belly flopping into the summer of pervy middle aged men, but we will hold fast and journey through this with you.  Also this movie features the best example yet of Zack completely missing the point.

Forbidden Cinema Cocktail Hour - Exploding Ariel Cabernet

So we bought some wine featured in The Craft.  Zack thought it would be a clever idea to do a tasting.  We had to buy a half a case to get free shipping.  The reviews are not that kind, but we thought it would make a good laugh.  Turns out the joke is on us.  One of the bottles just exploded in our kitchen while we were cooking dinner.  Oh well, I guess it might as well be time for a tasting.

Join Zack and Jenny as we discuss what a remake of this lovely mess of a movie would look like.  We go deeper and explore some of the unanswered question brought up in the main episode.  And we dive deeper than any podcast into a Pennsylvania newspaper from the time of this film's release.

Forbidden Cinema 13 - Blame it on Rio

Join us as we go back to the steamy summer and watch middle age men drool over underage girls.  This movie is wild.  This thing is full of stars who should have known better, I think they might have all signed on to the movie as an excuse to spend a couple months in Rio.  Join us as we see Michael Caine ogle more breasts (in a city where topless sunbathing is not tolerated in real life) than I think I have ever seen in a film and have an affair with a girl who could easily have passed for college age, but who they go to great lengths to establish is a child.  This is going to get problematic.

Forbidden Cinema 12 -The Craft - Going Deeper

Join us as we go deep and answer all the questions left from our viewing of the classic teen witchcraft flick, The Craft.  We hit up Tower Records at midnight for a new release on a Tuesday.  Zack has a disturbing and mostly pointless deep dive on the career of two actresses who aren't even in this movie.  Jenny goes 400 years deep on urban legends.
